Big Weekend of 7on7 In DFW Recap

It was a busy weekend in DFW, as there were two 7on7 tournaments in the area. Friday night Arlington High hosted the DFW SQT tournament, while Dallas Madison hosted the first annual Grand Marshall Mr. Williams tournament at Sprague stadium on Saturday.

DeSoto, Prosper, and Richardson JJ Pearce punched their ticket to the Texas 7on7 State Tournament in College Station, Texas, June 24th-26th. DeSoto’s high powered offense lead by QBs Matt Allen and DJ Bailey, were explosive all day. DeSoto’s wide receiving core led by Oregon Commit Stephon Johnson, Johntay Cook II, Mike Murphy, Dahlyn Jones, Keunte Rhinehart, and Jaylan Bean all scored for the Eagles high powered offense.

Prosper QB Harrison Rosar and WR Houston Hawkins made it look easy, as they put on a show all day to lead Prosper to a qualifying bid. QB Hayden Hawthorne, TE Cormac Borlan, Oliver Crawford and the best Center on the SQT circuit Hayden Pasley led JJ Pearce to a qualifying bid also.

YK1K won the first annual Grand Marshall Mr. Williams tournament hosted by Dallas Madison. The tournament was a mix of high school based teams and club teams. There were a lot of talented players like WR Elijah Baesa, QB Chris Tucker, QB Chandler Pullam, ATH Shannon Cruse, Joe Gatlin and many more.
